EMALEE JONES
Associate Licensed Counselor
Each of us needs someone to bear witness to the stories of our lives. Having personally experienced pain and healing, I desire to walk alongside you as you navigate your own pain and make sense of your story. I work from the belief that all people have innate worth and dignity. No one is too broken for counseling or so untouched by brokenness that they cannot benefit from counseling. I believe that change happens when we are fully seen and known by others. With empathy, warmth, and genuineness, my goal is to listen carefully, work hard to understand how you are feeling, and help you remove any obstacles in the way of your growth and well-being.
As a counselor, I utilize an integrative approach combining elements of attachment, family systems, internal parts work, emotion-focused, somatic, psychodynamic, and interpersonal psychotherapies to serve individuals, couples, and families. I work with anyone ages 14 and above. I enjoy working with issues such as anxiety, depression, identity issues, body image and self-esteem, family of origin and relational issues, developmental and complex trauma, grief, marriage and parenting struggles, life transitions, issues related to serving in vocational ministry, narcissistic abuse, and spiritual abuse.
I graduated from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2021 with my Master of Arts in Counseling. I enjoy going on walks and being in nature, reading, traveling, eating good food, and connecting with friends and family. My husband and I have two kiddos and a sweet Goldendoodle pup, and we live in Birmingham, AL.
As an Associate Licensed Counselor, Emalee is under the supervision of Heather Parker, M.Ed, LPC-S, NCC.
